# Codex

Use Bumpkit from the Codex CLI, the Codex desktop app and the Codex IDE extension. Open the **Codex** card on the Integrations page for the setup.

## Use Bumpkit from Codex

Codex connects to the hosted connector at `https://bumpkit.dev/mcp`. You sign in to Bumpkit and pick a workspace once; nothing to install.

```bash
codex mcp add bumpkit --url https://bumpkit.dev/mcp
bumpkit mcp connect --client codex
```

The three Codex apps share `~/.codex/config.toml`, so one setup covers all of them. From an agent, `mcp_connect` prints the same setup and `mcp_connections_list` lists what's connected. Step by step: [MCP Server](/docs/mcp#codex).

## Hooks from the CLI

`bumpkit hooks install --codex` adds Bumpkit's session and stop hooks to the repository. See [Agent hooks](/docs/agent-hooks#openai-codex).
